Tropical Powder

We made it up to the northwest in late November to tap the abundant amounts of snow they had received in the last few weeks prior to our trip. We arrived at the tail end of a storm to a warming trend with little to no precipitation forecast. Not the dry powder conditions we hoped for but better than the shop we have been locked in for the past month. We coined the conditions tropical powder. Weather ended up being grey for the first few days with mixed rain and snow depending on elevation. We tested out new grip which is the best grip we have tried. Closed cell foam does not absorb water and the surface easily eliminates snow build up. Also got more snow time with the UNGI BUNGI.

A few words about the UNGU BUNGI. First, this is the best snowskate/powderskate leash available. We have heard some people say that it is to short, or that the recoil is scary, which it can be. However, our though is that in order to maintain a safe trip down the mountain, your vehicle(powderskate) should be as close to you as possible to eliminate a runaway collision with other mountain riding enthusiasts or obstacles. Our current leash can stretch up to over 10 feet while have an at rest length of 18 inches. In tight situations this leash provides rider confidence.

Your leash only works when attached to your body. I made that mistake on our trip as well. Thanks Jackson for chasing down my board. I was taking a few photos and unstrapped. Jumped back on my board for some stunts and realized I was not attached. Board took off with 3-4 snowskaters chasing. Finaly, came to a rest in a small grove of trees next to a small child huddled up with his dad for safety.

No Joke, an out of control skate is bad on every level. Get a solid Leash please

Mt. High Session -Early Season

Where can you find flip flops and T-shirts in the snow, try Mountain High with it own personal snow making devices. With one run open with a few stunt features. We went up to test the new boards and Ungi Bungi leash. The leash is perfect, a bit shorter than the original and more solid. The snow was super slushy and pretty slow at times(notice the high speed image above), but it was sick to ride in October. Powder please.
